Point of Care Quality Improvement (POCQI)

Point of Care Quality Improvement (POCQI) was launched in the Regional TOT workshop from 6-8 February 2017 in which hospital teams have been trained to be trainers from the following countries: Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Timor-Leste.

Country teams were first exposed to this model in May 2016 and this has been received very well. In the TOT workshop we saw multiple examples of QI projects successfully undertaken in hospitals in all these countries. Countries are now planning to hold national level trainings soon.

This package has been jointly prepared by WHO-SEARO, WHOCC-AIIMS and ASSIST and fits in very well within the Global and regional frameworks. This also reflects great collaboration of multiple agencies – UNICEF, UNFPA, USAID and WHO.
